once upon a time… all the stories started with this sentence…… same story but the end??? I think that we need all together start a sort of revolution against this kind of justice… it’s incredible for all this story!!!

L’unica cosa che è cambiata è che non c’è più Alberto Sordi, interprete di personaggi a volte spigolosi, a volte irritanti, a volte qualunquisti, ma sicuramente specchio del paese.

Italian director Nanny Loy made a movie with actor Alberto Sordi in 1971 ” detenuto in attesa di giudizio ” exactly on the issue of preventive incarceration, then and now an ongoing problem in Italy.
In the movie Sordi is an entrepreneur working in Switzerland that gets arrested at the Swiss Italian border when returning for holidays…….
I love Italy, Alberto Sordi was one of the greatest actors ever, makes me feel so Italian, but it is the Republic and the mismanagement of the Italian State affairs, justice in particular, that makes me so angry.
Forty years later, and a great movie, the problem is still there, enjoy the movie in the opening lines Sordi speaks a lovely broken English…..

You could not make this stuff up. If someone wrote a book or made a movie along the lines of this case, no one would believe it. It’s surreal! My cautious optimism for Silvio’s release and exoneration is based, not on the Italian legal system (which is incomprehensible) but a leap of faith on my part (a giant leap of faith I might add) that ultimately reason will prevail and without delivering any hard evidence against Silvio, the courts will have to acquit.

Operativo fino al 22 luglio? L’hanno nominato procuratore capo a Guantanamo?! Ah no.. Vero.. si candida per il CSM.. E poiché come diceva il divo Giulio “a pensar male si fa peccato ma ci si azzecca quasi sempre” (ho nostalgia di quest’uomo), forse che forse quest’ostinazione inquisitoria ha un sapore, come dire, elettorale?! Si sa, più si è visibili, più si è apprezzati, più si vale, più si prende di stipendio..
